Squirrel!

Ok, so it's a little small. Chloe is obsessed with squirrels or anything resembling one (like Chad) so I found this ridiculous costume at Target and could not resist.

Sorry for the delay...Here's my baby Chloe. She's part German Shepherd, part...deer? She's ~2 years old and has already had quite a stressful life. She was a death row inmate when she was saved from BARC and brought to the Highland Village animal shelter by a local rescue group. I then adopted her (heartworm and all) and after a couple of months, poisonous injections and a little bit of training, we are getting along very well. She loves daddy but is mostly a "mommy's girl" despite the fact that I am a bit of a nazi, guess I have to get used to being owned by a dog, not just cats.

She's also a 50 lb lap dog.

And a clown.

Forecast...potential for a thunderstorm...can we say MONSOON!!! This following the cancellation of my Mexico trip that we have been looking forward to for months now!!!

On a happy note, I just returned from Dallas where I attended my nephew's 1st birthday party.

Holy Sh*t, I'm 30!

For those of you who attended my birthday party, thank you. For those of you who bought me shots, thank y...who am I kidding...MICHAEL, I am still pissed at you for trying to kill me, so F*** you! My biggest thank you is to my sweet baby who managed to get me home safely despite my every attempt to become "dead weight".

My liver is finally healing and I've sworn off alcohol for the time being. I should be receiving the rest of my birthday photo's this evening so I will add a few more.

Khaki!

UPDATE:

I was not able to keep Khaki due to my long hours at work but she is back at her foster mommy's house where she is very spoiled! I am confident she will find a good home soon.




SO I am officially in love. Yesterday, I adopted (on a trial basis) a 4 month old puppy named Khaki. She is a Border collie / Aussie mix. I'm not going to lie, it's not easy but I'm so glad I did as she is such a love. She's very mellow so I was questioning her border collieness until I gave her a pull toy...see video #1

We had our first trip to the park and she had a blast chasing "love bugs", I think she might have eaten one or two. She has already learned sit and stay (sometimes). She also learned to squeak and whine when she goes in her crate...Shannon...help! She walks pretty well on a leash and minds very well, she's all about making her person happy. We've had no accidents in the house and she goes immediately during our walks.

Chico gets along pretty well with her, put her in her place once but generally just ignores her. Chad is pretending to hate her. He hisses and puffs up and acts all tough but when she walks away he follows her around...stalker.

This morning she hung out in the bathroom while I showered and now loves the hairdryer, if I point it at her she bites at the air and jumps around to play with it.

So I thought I had actually found a potential roommate on roommates.com...until we started emailing. He sent me an email (all lower case) telling me that he is responsible and clean and that he smokes outside only (red flag #1), then he tells me that he is a sous chef in the best restaurant in town but did not provide the name (red flag #2). He then proceeds to tell me that he has two kids and keeps them every other weekend (red flag #3). He concludes his email asking to meet in a public place and that he's good looking, well dressed and reliable (red flag #4)...seriously, is this a dating site? I'm strongly considering getting a second job for the next 6 months to avoid being hacked up and stored in my freezer by one of these crazies out there.

Sad to report...

Kelly will be moving out soon and I will be the crazy cat lady all by myself again...No more road humps...I've posted an ad on roommates.com and the responses so far are scary at best. Seriously, do normal people exist in Houston? I'm just looking for a professional man or woman without any serious mental issues or addictions...

Unhappy New Year

Sorry to report, but due to a lovely bout with a cold and a sinus infection, I was unable to attend the BLT NYE Holiday party here in Houston. But don't fret, ALL of my friends attended and left me alone without a even a single "Happy New Year" text at midnight...thanks again guys. I'll leave the part about the 2:45 am call to pick people up out as I could go on for hours about that and the fact that Houston is the biggest piece of SH*! city in the U.S. for not having ANY taxi's available at a venue of that size. So to make it all better I have decided to post a picture of Tawny because she looks like I feel today. I'll write my year at a glance once my meds kick in.

Update, today (January 2nd) I got a speeding from Houston's finest. Funny that he was not out the other night when I was trying to avoid being smashed into by all of the drunks a$$holes on the road at 2:45 am!!!
